Paul told us about the Jean MeNard Memorial Ride which was held
October 29th in Greenville. The Freewheelers Board met last week
and endorsed the Spartanburg County Vision for Bike Lanes, which
was presented Nov. 7th at the SPATS Meeting. This will give priority
to the roads listed on the map to get bike lanes when they are
resurfaced. The Freewheelers have donated $5,000 to PCC in 2005.
This brings our level of giving to the "Yellow Jersey"
level. The SCDOT Conference will be held December 7-9 at Hilton
Head Island. Balance Bar has awarded PCC a $7,500 grant. The
Fox News public safety announcements will begin in May of 2006.
Paul showed the CSPAN video with Bob Inglis speaking on bicycling
awareness and safety.
