Minutes from October 2 were approved.

Bike Safety for 2005: South Carolina is 8th in US in bike fatalities

PCC: Bill to Change SC Law
Bike will be defined as a vehicle. Bikers will have to follow rules of the road.
Bikers can make right turn with right arm.
Remove side path law.
Autos must be 3 to 5 feet from bikers when they pass.
Contact local legislators to cosponsor Bill for Bikers.
Training program to be licensed Certified Bicycle Instructor
No certified instructors in SC at present
The course will cost $175.00
PCC will offer scholarships.
Seek 10-12 instructors across SC
Approved in Spartanburg to be paid to teach classes after certificate.
Global Bike to raise funds for bikes to Africa
Our club will donate for bikes to Africa ($85.00 per bike) to promote cycling world wide.
Work is continuing on bike lanes in Spartanburg
