FREEWHEELERS' MINUTES for August 7, 2006
17 members were present.
Andrew opened the meeting at 7:08 PM at Broncos Restaurant 352 E. Blackstock Rd.
Minutes from July 10 were approved.
Dave gave the report about the picnic. He stated that approximately 175 people attended.
We plan to do it again, but he stated the need to have a water stop on the 50 mile loop.
Next year we are planning a 2 day Spartanburg-Columbus-Spartanburg ride next spring for PCC
He needs suggestions for a campground.

Little traffic
Next year we may coordinate the ride with the Cross Florida Ride
Looking into the possibility of having it in April to avoid the heat.
Arthur Danfy–Racing Report
State Championship Race will be in Greenville. All categories will be held.

Mark has sold BikeOn to 2 buyers with 20 years of experience.
The BikeOn name will be retained and it will stay in the same location selling the same brand of bikes.
Tour de Paws
Last year there were just under 300 riders
This year we will have black short sleeve shirts.
There are 2 routes –60 and 27 miles

Printing Bike Route Map this fall. They are mostly for people who are new to Spartanburg.
Free bike services - including mechanic checks, pedicab rides, a bicycle exhibit, and kids' safety checks - at the Hub City Farmers' Market as part of theirmonthly,

Huge support from city and county, but are applying only for city.
