Business Meeting

.) The minutes from the March meeting were approved as written.
.) Jim Brown reported that with the Mitchell funds in our accounts both the checking and savings accounts are in good shape. The Biketown contribution is coming up and the down payment for the Mitchell jerseys also.
.) Andrew Danfy reported that the criterium is on May 5th. He needs volunteers to help with setup, course monitors (4:00-9:00 p.m.) and break down. Help is also needed in coordinating housing for the racers.
.) Rick Darwin asked for news and entries for the ride calendar to be submitted no later than April 16th.
.) Ken Drescher reported that we have 364 members paid in 2006. A letter is being sent to 2005 members who have not renewed to ask them to renew for this year. If they do not, the membership list will be purged of their names.

.) Cycle South Carolina is in full swing for 2006. Registration is 7/12 and the ride begins on 7/13. The website is Bicycle-SC.com. There will be camping and motel options and gear will be transported each day to the next night’s location. There is a chance that Governor Sanford will ride one day.
.) Richard Ridlehuber spoke about the Tour de Cure ride to help the American Diabetes Association. The minimum to raise is $175. Last year the PCC team got special recognition based on the amount of money raised.
.) Homer Miller said he is organizing a “Ride for Life” which will benefit the American Cancer Society. The ride will be on April 22nd. There will be 2 loops – a 30 mile and a 65 mile.
