Item One: Minutes from the February meeting were approved.

Item Two: Jim Brown read the Treasurer's report. We have $28,137 in our checking account and $19,208 in our savings account. The 2006 Budget Projections were approved.

Item Three: Jeff Cook – Touring Report.
The next 175th Anniversary Ride has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 19th.

Item Four: Andrew Danfy – Racing Report
The last Winter Bike League ride in the series will be held next week. The new uniforms are in and can be picked up from Andrew. The Smith Barney Classic Downtown Criterium will be held Friday, May 5th. The Phil Whitman USCF Races begin at 5 PM and the Pro-1 Race begins at 8 PM.

Item Five: Richard Dillard – Publicity
Ride leaders – please get the dates in to Marly or Richard for the 175th Anniversary Rides. Spartanburg Magazine will help publicize these rides. Yon Lambert, who has been with the Palmetto Conservation Foundation, will be leaving his job soon and relocating to Alexandria, VA. He has been a huge advocate for cycling in Spartanburg and we will miss him. The Herald Journal ran an article recently about the two new proposed bike lanes for Spartanburg.

Item Six Ricky Darwin – Newsletter Information
The Seat Post is looking for articles, pictures and ride information. Please email these to him as well as any other suggestions you might have by March 17th.

Item Nine: Ken Dresher – Membership (report)
We have 435 members. 341 have renewed for 2006. Ken will be sending the 2005 members who have not renewed notices within the week.

Item Seven: Paul LeFrancois - PCC Report
Last week was the National Bike Advocacy Meeting in Washington, DC. $6.2 million will be awarded to 10 states to promote people to use bikes for transportation instead of automobiles. Paul is hoping they will pick South Carolina to be one of the 10 states to receive this funding. Fox News & SC Department of Transportation are teaming up to create public service announcements. A Health Fair will be held April 29th on Heart Awareness/ Heart Illness. Please remember to get your Share the Road License Plate from the DMV office. They are $54 for a 2 year plate and $30 of that fee goes back to the PCC.

Item Eight: Jeff Cook – Bike Shop and Insurance Information
Please remember to support the three local bike shops. Our insurance was renewed.

Item Nine: Marly Divver – Mt. Mitchell Update
We will be registering on Friday, May 19th and the Assaults will be held Saturday, May 20th. Packets will be stuffed at the Herald Journal building – same as last year.

Item Ten: Marly Divver – Assault Training Rides
125 riders participated in the first training ride with only 15 of these riders being Freewheeler members. We need more Freewheelers to participate. The next training ride will be this Saturday. It will be sagged, have a rest stop, and medical support as well as food afterwards at the North Greenville College cafeteria. A question was raised whether non-members were covered under our insurance. Marly will check on this with John Bryan.

Item Eleven: Brevets – Marly Divver
The 200 km brevet would be held March 25th. Eight riders have registered. Volunteers are needed to help.

Item Twelve: Trademark - Marly Divver
We got confirmation of our trademark.

Our next meeting will be held April 3, 2006 at Coronas Restaurant on Blackstock Rd. (across from the new Lowe's). Please come at 6:30 for dinner and the meeting will begin at 7.
