•Andrew opened the meeting at Broncos Restaurant 352 E. Blackstock Rd
•Minutes from January 8 were approved.
18 members were present.
•Transportation Study
Will propose new Bike lanes from E. Henry to E. Main St connecting directly to the Arts Center
•Smart Bike Bike racks for Spartanburg—only done in Europe—automated bike racks. Rent bike with credit card. Swipe credit card to get the bike. You can then place bike in another rack. No money charged. Credit card only used to keep up with bikes.
•Board meeting for Mt. Mitchell
Raise Mt. Mitchell fees from $65 to $80
All other fees same as last year
Members can register by Feb 19 deadline.
•Smith Barney Criterion—Athens to Atlanta, etc. 8 Day race
USA Cycling. Same weekend as Spring Fling.
Amateur Races Cat 4 and Cat 5
2-3 race each night leading up to tour race
Women’s Pro Race same week as Spring Fling
Walnut Grove Area Stage for Road Race
May 4 Downtown
May 6-Sunday-Walnut Grove Race

February 24—40 mile to Pearson Falls
March 10—60 mile to Howard Gap
April 14—85 mile to Caesar’s Head
April 28 –85 mile Marquis de Sade

•Bill to SC Legislature to Change Biking Laws
Bill now has10 cosponsors .
Will get out of Subcommittee to Public Works. Next goes to House and then to Senate. Hand written letters are best.
Please contact your representatives for help in passing the changes to biking laws.

•22 people completed League 1 Certification Bike Instructor Training
People from several areas of SC participated.
