Posted January 22 - Passcodes for the Assault on Mount Mitchell will be sent out this week via email to all members of the Freewheelers. If you haven't received your code you will soon! Reminder, this is only for Freewheeler's members that joined before midnight December 31, 2011!

Membership Drive
Our 2012 membership drive was a huge success! The Assault on Mt. Mitchell pass codes will be emailed around the end of January, 2012 to those who renewed/joined the Freewheelers of Spartanburg during our membership drive (Oct. 1, 2011 - Dec. 31, 2011). Urgent: Protect Federal Bicycle & Pedestrian Funding!
Take Action: Please contact members of Congress today. Lawmakers threaten to end Transportation Enhancements, Safe Routes to School and Rec Trails Programs. House Transportation Chairman John Mica (R-FL) announced today that his transportation bill will eliminate dedicated funding for bicycling and walking, including Transportation Enhancements, Safe Routes to School and the Recreational Trails Program, and discourages states from choosing to spend their dollars on these activities that are not in the federal interest.
