October 1 - 2014 Membership Drive
Our Freewheelers of Spartanburg membership drive for 2014 is ready to begin. Membership dues are still at the same rates of $25 for an individual or $35 for the entire family, so click here to renew now.
This membership drive will last from Oct. 1-Dec. 31, 2013. Keeping your Freewheelers membership active ensures that you have access to our Yahoo! Group for daily and weekly updates on rides, training, and more; that you are covered by the Club's supplemental accident medical insurance for all Club rides; and that you receive a passcode to our most popular club ride, the Assaults on Mt. Mitchell and Marion, this year on Monday, May 19, 2014.
Assault passcodes allow members to register for the Mitchell ride before the general public. This event is always a sellout because many of us enjoy the event enough to ride it year after year. The Blue Ridge Parkway limits the number of cyclists on the Parkway to 750 riders; therefore, the best way to ensure your participation is to join / renew your membership to receive a passcode. (Family memberships receive two passcodes.)
Even though managing this entire process is complex, we still want to give Freewheelers club members the first opportunity to ride this event, so we will continue through this membership drive to ensure that those who renew their club memberships for 2014 will get the exclusive, first opportunity to register for AOMM 2014, weeks before non-members.
Thank you and ride safely,
President, Freewheelers of Spartanburg, Inc.
