Meeting called to order 7:00pm. 28 people present.									
									
									
Mark Janes- President- called meeting to order.									
									
 1.  Motion to forego officers reports and cover assualts business. Motion made and passed.									
									
 2. Brad is assualt facilitator for meeting.									
	How to operate; tasks; notes; activity following to keep things on even keel.								
									
 3.  Katie is back on board for assualts. An executive meeting held last week due to issues & timing									
	for tasks on the assaults and Katie was selected to aid Peter (director). A unanimous vote passed 								
	by the executive board meeting last week to submit at the next business meeting (tonight).								
									
 4.  Motion to approve Katie as consultant made. Motion 2nd and passed.									
									
 5.  Katie - Volunteers are needed at top;									
	keep clothes in truck to keep dry,								
	help on tie up on bikes,								
	E-mail Katie if you can volunteer,								
	Need Runners, Need people, roughly 30 on top, have about 80 positions.								
	Katie will E-mail a list,								
	packet stiffing is Wed. May 11 Thurs May 12, 8 - 5 at auditorium,								
	Need additional sags,								
	Need 7 people in Marion,								
	need red-yellow bike tags,								
	Ensure Penske drivers are insured drivers, Katie will copy licenses,								
	Briefly discussed bike handling,								
	Clean wipes are needed at rest stops,								
	Truck drivers of the day to get $100,								
	Obtain knowledge from older "volunteers" for documentation before they are no longer participants,								
	Discussion on bus travel up 80 & 26,								
	Can cost & responsibilities be transparent,								
	After 2011 assaults a supporting document is to be done.								
									
Mitchell discussion closed.									
									
									
Club Business:									
									
Jim - Treasurer- $174,999 in funds: $144,952 Check, $30,047 reserve.									
									
Rick - Minutes- last meeting minutes for approval, motion made and Was approved.									
									
Kelly - Membership- members are still joining club									
									
Pam - PAL - Crit is Friday during Spring Fling; volunteers are needed, beds for racers coming are needed									
	sponsor tent entry-how to handle, possible membership list at tent? 								
	Need noon setup & 9:30 teardown	volunteers.							
									
Arthur -Racing- 3rd Thurs each month, BMW round track race, 10 mile, is regular schedule. 									
	SC State champs race at Ft. Shoals Memorial Day.								
									
Corey - Web - not present.									
									
Madeline - Tours - A couple of ideas being considered. Ride from Table Rock possible?, Blue Ridge Pwkwy End-to-End Ride?									
									
Peter (Assaults Director) - A weekend family event is planned for the Assaults. 									
	A walk-ride event, 1988 Mt.Mitchell Event DVD will be shown for free, popcorn will be available.								
	A Velo-Social event with guest speaker is also occurring the weekend before Monday's Assaults.								
									
A motion was made to form an Assault Support Committee.									
	This committee to be an integral part, will detail reports of activity for developing the assaults.								
	Motion passed of a 4 member to 6 member group to include the director and consultant.

New By-Laws presented, was e-mailed. Suggestion of bylaw rewrite to be held.									
Suggestion of bylaw committee for bylaw review first. Motion made, withdrew for time being.									
									
Motion to extend elections to July to discuss amendments to bylaws. Motion 2nd & passed.									
									
Nomination of board members to occur in June meeting.
